Kindness is Contagious: $2000 Donation & New Friends!

We are constantly overwhelmed by the blessings Culmore Clinic receives from our community, so often out of nowhere. One example of this came earlier this week when Ginge Sivigny, a community member, stopped by The Clinic with a box of COVID tests. She receives our newsletter and was inspired by the story we shared of our partners at Neighborhood Health dropping off tests in February.

She also explained that she is part of George Mason University’s Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) and every Friday an offshoot of that group has a Happy Hour over Zoom. She had mentioned the donation and The Clinic and the group was inspired and excited to help. On behalf of the group, Ginge asked, “What do you need? How can we help?”

“What do you need? How can we help?”

We responded that the Clinic needs a Meeting Owl. This technology could facilitate communication during Culmore Clinic meetings where participants are mixed between onsite and remote locations, and enhance patient-provider communication when our interpreters are supporting us remotely.

Since then, Ginge has collected over $2,300 from her compassionate and generous friends at OLLI and they have taken a tour of The Clinic to learn more!

If you’re inspired by Ginge and her friends, please consider reaching out to see how you can help, making a donation, or taking a tour.
